Dr Hannah Sehl
About
Hannah’s approach as a psychologist is one of warmth, non-judgement and understanding. She has worked primarily with adults in a range of public and private health settings providing therapeutic support to some of the most vulnerable individuals in society.
Her ability to engage with people from a diversity of backgrounds has allowed her to support well-being and behaviour change in all aspects of their lives, including emotion regulation, mood, relationships, addictive behaviours, personal growth and positive mind-body health changes.
Hannah has a strong understanding of how various factors, including upbringing, shapes an individual and their views of themselves, others, and the world around them. She uses this understanding, as well as her extensive neuroscientific clinical research experience and training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to support her clients to understand themselves better and achieve their therapeutic goals. She uses a direct but gentle, empathic and sometimes humoured approach to her client’s difficulties.
In her personal life Hannah is committed to “practicing what she preaches” and enjoys a healthy lifestyle, including being a passionate yoga and meditation practitioner. She strongly believes that living an authentic and value-driven life is a key component to mental health and well-being.
