Dr. Hannah Sehl
Hannah’s approach as a psychologist is one of warmth, non-judgement, and understanding. She has worked primarily with adults in a range of public and private health settings, providing therapeutic support to some of the most vulnerable individuals in society.
Her ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds has allowed her to support well-being and behaviour change in all aspects of their lives, including emotion regulation, mood, relationships, addictive behaviours, personal growth, and positive mind-body health changes.
Therapeutic Approach
Hannah has a strong understanding of how various factors, including upbringing, shape an individual’s view of themselves, others, and the world. She combines this understanding with her extensive clinical research experience in neuroscience and training in various therapeutic modalities, including:
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- ADHD Coaching
- Schema Therapy
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
- Motivational Interviewing
She supports clients to better understand themselves and achieve their therapeutic goals using a direct yet gentle, empathic, and occasionally humorous approach.
Personal Interests
In her personal life, Hannah is committed to “practicing what she preaches” and enjoys a healthy lifestyle, including being a passionate yoga and meditation practitioner. She strongly believes that living an authentic, value-driven life is key to mental health and well-being.
