Dr Elsie Jing
Dr Elsie Jing is a Consultant Psychiatrist at Wellvue and also works in an Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Unit at a major metropolitan hospital in Melbourne. She provides expert care across the lifespan, with a particular focus on adolescents, youth, and adults. Dr Jing is experienced in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, personality disorders, eating disorders, and adjustment difficulties.
Dr Jing completed her basic psychiatric training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, followed by advanced training in child and adolescent psychiatry at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. Throughout her career, she has worked across both outpatient and inpatient settings, gaining experience in general psychiatry and subspecialties such as eating disorders and intellectual disability. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine (BMed) and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).

Areas of Focus
Dr Jing works with adolescents (12 years +) young adults, and adults, treating conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, PTSD and complex PTSD, OCD, eating disorders, personality disorders, grief and loss, and adjustment disorders. She also has a keen interest in neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD and autism spectrum disorder.
Outside of medicine
Outside of her clinical work, Dr Jing enjoys Pilates, gardening, and exploring new recipes in the kitchen. She believes in maintaining a balanced lifestyle and encourages her patients to find routines and habits that support their overall wellbeing.
