Terri Trang

Terri has experience spanning across private practice, counselling, and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), Terri supports individuals, couples, and adolescents in overcoming psychological challenges and achieving their personal goals.

Prior to becoming a psychologist, Terri gained over 15 years of experience in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. This extensive corporate background has equipped her with the skills to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Terri holds a Master of Professional Psychology from La Trobe University and has completed Level 2 training in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

Approach to Mental Health Care

Terri’s compassionate and personable nature helps clients feel heard, understood, and supported at every stage of their journey. Terri is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their challenges and work towards personal growth and wellbeing. Terri draws upon a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. Terri tailors her approach to suit each client’s unique needs and goals.

Areas of Focus

Terri works with various presentations including ADHD coaching, anxiety, conflict management, couples and relationships, cultural issues, depression, emotional vulnerabilities, grief and loss, life transitions, self-esteem, stress and burnout, and substance use.
